MJ Dairies is implementing an innovative green technology – installation for full scale treatment of wastewater and for secondary processing of biological product in the wastewater. The project is conducted with the financial support of Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2020.
The decision to implement the innovative green technology is taken with a view of fulfilling the corporate responsibility for environmental protection and reducing the carbon footprint from the company’s production activities. The innovative purifying installation can take up to 80 tons of whey and 370 tons of wastewater. This means that around 95 tons of milk can be treated daily in strict compliance with the environmental standards for wastewater treatment. In a corporate plan, this solution will increase the production capacity, optimize the production processes, increase the competitiveness of the company.
